Rainbow Springs

Rainbow Springs is truly an attraction like no other in the world. Set in 22 acres of beautiful native trees and streams, Rainbow Springs is home to a huge variety of New Zealand’s most precious inhabitants. The entire Rainbow Springs experience is built around New Zealand’s largest and most successful kiwi conservation centre.

Rainbow Springs Kiwi Encounter offers visitors a unique behind-the-scenes tours of a working kiwi nursery and hatchery. During the tour visitors see each of the stages a kiwi chick goes through before being released in to the wild – incubation, hatching and raising.Kiwi Encounter is New Zealand’s largest and most successful kiwi conservation centre, having hatched and nurtured over 1350 eggs since 1995.To convey the importance of the Kiwi Encounter to non-English speaking visitors, Rainbow Springs wanted a group-guiding solution that would enable any guide to be able to take a tour group of mixed nationalities on a group guided tour of the Kiwi Encounter and trigger commentaries at various points of the tour.Rainbow Springs chose KRUSE as the perfect solution. Using the KRUSE Tour Master, any guide can now provide their personalised English commentary as well as simultaneously trigger the playing of prerecorded foreign language commentaries for the non-English speaking participants of the group-guided tour. Non-English speaking tour group participants only hear the commentary in the language that their particular KRUSE receiver has been set too.
